Cheap Chrome Lamp

just got this item and put it together. the parts are of very poor quality and two of the legs do not screw together properly (manufacturing flaw) hence the lamp is really not standing up straight. The item came in a big box so it is going to be a little painful to put it back together and take it to the post office to return. i would not recommend this brand. while aesthetically pleasing the quality is just not there.

It is sometimes difficult to purchase an item on-line just based on an image, but we were looking for a contemporary lamp for a remodeled bedroom and this seemed to fit the bill. When the lamp arrived and we placed it on the side table we were extremely happy. It is very good quality, nicely finished, and is a great scale for a bedroom. This has become a signature piece in the room and exceeded expectations.

We wanted more light over the round black slate dining table near the corner of the room. I was afraid this might be a big disaster, as it was difficult to guage from the photo if it would work out, but the dimensions suggested that it might be OK. It was delivered with a very heavy base (46 lbs), a box for the chrome globe, and a very large flat box for the main supporting pole. My wife and I took about an hour assembling it (very technically demanding for us amateurs) and then I held my breath, because it would be really difficult to re-pack and send the lamp back, not to mention dis-assembly. However, it has turned out to be the hit of the room. It's a georgeous additon, and it lights up the middle of the table without interfering with people sitting around the table or getting up and down from their seats. I didn't want to have to install something hanging from the ceiling, and this has allowed me to avoid that. Plus the lamp is a wonderful addition to the room, like a piece from MOMA in NY or SF. To me, in person, it looks a thousand times better than the photo. Very pleased for the specific use I had in mind.

I bought these lamps when I moved into my new home. I was looking for something to start my livingroom. These were perfect for the kind of lamps I wanted. Tall beautiful lamps something that would go with almost any elegant or contemporary style. As stated diamonds are a girls best friend. These definetly make that statement true for me anyway. For the quality of the lamp they are worth the price. Everyone that sees them loves them.FrancieFrom PA

This lamp was exactly what I was looking for to complement my contemporary living room furniture which consists of glass and chrome accents.The lamp was easy enough to assemble following the enclosed directions. However I was very disappointed in the craftmanship. The top section of each lite where the glass shade meets the chrome base is crooked and the manufacturing defect gives the whole lamp a lopsided look. There are also chrome screws provided that attach the glass shade to the lamp. The holes on the lamp base and the holes on the shade do not allign. It would be such a nice lamp (if it were straight). Obviously this manufacturer doesn't believe in quality control. I would return this product but don't want to deal with trying to get it back in the styrofoam packaging. In my opinion this lamp is definately not worth the price.

Item is labeled, "in 2 boxes" but is missing the 2nd box and the lamp shade is in that missing box.

Lights up a whole room with soft light. LOVE the pattern on the shade and the leather - I'm buying another one today.

Beautiful floor lamp; easy to assemble for a novice such as myself and it gives great light. Would have preferred a dimmer switch and a bit more heft in the floor switch so that it stays in place, but these are minor knocks given the great look and great price.

First the good news: this is a very slick-looking, beautifully minimalist lamp. Very easy to assemble, nice details (like the way the stem attaches to the base), and good light for reading.On the downside: I was shocked by how flimsy the light installation itself is -- there's a reflector behind the single halogen bulb made of incredibly thin metal (almost foil) that bent up very easily, and there's no diffuser or cover of any kind over the bulb (which is a surprise given the $300+ list price for the lamp). The head was also poorly assembled with the adjuster rod way off the correct angle.I paid Amazon's sale price of $137 for the lamp, and as such it was an OK value. Amazon's usual price is $180, and at that price I'd have felt ripped off.Note: after a week of using the lamp, I dropped the star rating to one. The lack of a diffuser over the bulb means that I burn my retina every time I sit down next to the lamp to read -- the halogen light is that intense. Since the height of the light cannot be adjusted, it seems the only application for this light is in rooms where no-one ever sits down.

Product arrived quickly, the shade is great quality and the base of the lamp is solid yet sleek. The pole was larger than I expected, which was a nice surprise. I think it looks even nicer than expected. Great quality and appearance for an excellent price.

There is more than a little assembly required, but when finished I was so delighted with this lamp that I bought another.

We bought this as a gift for our daughter and the lamp arrived in pieces of cardboard taped together. She said it appeared as if the lamp had been used and was very "wobbly." They are trying to steady the lamp now but it was a big disappointment. She said the shade looked cheap. We should have bought the one from pottery barn instead. This was quite embarrassing for us.

I spent sometime finding the right product and really liked this company. It is expensive, but the quality is great. I went on line some evening and on Amazon it was 50% off for the same lamp I saw at the stores. I could not believe! I bought it and it is wonderful! Made greatly! Stylish! It was delivered in well protected box. Recommeding it to anyone!

Creates a dramatic arc over my sectional. Decent light to read by. Less functional than a traditional shaded light but much more dramatic prescence. Easy to assemble.
